Resources
Food security is a prominent issue and fighting it is a combined effort. Here are some other organizations that share our mission and resources that provide more information on the subject.
Northwest Harvest
Northwest Harvest is a local organization within Washington State that supports the distribution of food to those who most need it via food banks, meal programs, and more. Like us, they aim to help feed those impacted by food insecurity, as nobody should have to worry about where there next meal will come from.
Food Lifeline
Food Lifeline is a local organization in Western Washington that provides food to hundreds of food banks, homeless shelters, and meal programs across the region. As a member of Feeding America, it tackles the problem of food insecurity at the community level, delivering food to wherever it is needed most.
Farmlink Project
While the Food Saver Project addresses food that is lost in the restaurant industry, the Farmlink Project tackles the issue of food waste and insecurity at the production level. To truly solve the two problems and streamline the system, reform must occur at all levels, making the Farmlink Project’s work crucial.
